Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004 - 9:21 p.m. the weekend
A good weekend, although it was darkly colored by the news of Friday evening. My prayers are with his family, and I can only hope that they are able to find peace. Travis is doing a lot better. It was a relaxing weekend, with few 'real' obligations. I cleaned the hosue like a crazy person on Saturday, finally getting rid of the nasty scum in the shower and sinks, vacuuming up the TONS of dog hair, and dusting some of the bookcases and knicknacks. We watched "Cold Mountain" Saturday night, which is an excellent, if long, movie. Very visually stunning, too. I hated the ending. Hated it. H-A-T-E-D it. Sorry. Call me a sucker for a sappy love story, but the ending BITES as far as I'm concerned. I *really* liked Renee Zellweger's character....awesome acting job, and funny, too. Sunday morning, we actually went out for breakfast, and got the oil changed in my car. Most of the rest of the day was spent woith me reading the newspaper, and knitting a scarf for myself. I figure, I really should learn to knit from a pattern so I can make more than just a bunch of rectangles. So far, so good. My scarf (all 7" that is finished) looks like it is supposed to look, per the photo with the pattern. Now all I have to do it sgiure out a way to keep track of what row I am on, and which pattern repeat I have done. Ack! Anyway, Travis is going upstairs, and I should go too. He is going to go back to work tomorrow, which means he will need help in the morning, so I should get ot bed so I can get up on time. G'nite.
