the virtues of wisdom

I have decided to forgo trying to make a brand new cotehardie for Saturday, instead I will wear something nice out of my closet, and devote the time to Balynar's new tunice (which is just about done anyway). My new dress, while about 60% completed, still needs sleeves drafted and sewn, and buttonholes and finishing -- the most time-consuming parts of cotehardie sewing, for me.

I looked at the calendar for the week and realized I was pushing the stress limit, given the number of firm committments I have this week for myself and for Kira. The dress will be done by Twelfth Night, and I'll get to wear it then. :)

....sigh of relief....

Sometimes it *really is* better to choose existing garb over something new and fabulous.

I have enabled myself to have a relatively relaxed week, spend time with my daughter, and get more Christmas prep done. MUCH more sensible.

I love it when the occasional spell of wisdom overtakes me. It doesn't happen often.
