Thank you to everyone who made Balynar's last day as Baron of Caer Mear so beautiful and special. He had a great time, and is really looking forward to his 'retirement', complete with the Caer Mear Baronial Pension! ;)
I had a very low-drag good time. I sat and knitted all day long, chatted with a few folks, and of course, just about burst with pride and love for my wonderful husband. And I cried, too, over the depth of emotion this kind of day has, and for the way the sentiment was so beautifully summed up and expressed by dear Master Thomas Broadpaunch.
(and now there is way more space in our SCA closet for stuff!!)
Thank you, Your Excellencies, for the honor of the Brise de Mer. My first Baronial award! Yay!
It was also nice to see several well-deserving folks get their very first Kingdom-level awards and honors. A great day all around.
We returned home to grateful dogs with urgent expressions, and a feast of steak and cheese sandwiches and beer. His knee hurts him a good bit, but it was all around a great and memorable day.
