stream of conciousness post holiday

Christmas was a fantastic holiday this year, with just enough family and friends and quiet time to be relaxed and happy.

Kira of course had a blast, and she was thrilled with the Santa gift of an Easy-Bake Oven. She begged me to help her make something in it right away, but because of the trip to her dad's on Christmas Day, we had to put it off til she gets home.

By the way, Easy-Bake Ovens no longer are powered by light bulbs! Who knew?

I got some lovely amber and silver jewelry from Travis, and the wonderful terrific gift of a lampworking torch setup and some supplies! You know what *I* was doing all weekend! ;)

(In fact, as soon as I'm done writing this, I'm going to the glass shop!)

Yes, indeedy, more glass addictions. It's about as close as I can get to glassblowing right now, so I am happy to be making fun and cool beads and other glass artifacts.

Which reminds me, I need to get started on projects for 12th Night....

Also, THANK YOU ELDRED for the work on the scroll....he *loved* it!

Travis was once again gifted by my family with something he wanted and was more than he expected (a pressure washer setup). My family loves to do stuff like that, and no one keeps score, particularly since the givers (my mom and her fiance) are able to do things like that, financially. They gave *me* an HP digital camera and the little teeny printer that goes with it. It was really wodnerful. Thanks Mom!

Anyway, it was relaxing and happy, and now I am off for a week before I start my new job. I'm looking forward to getting a bunch of stuff done around the house, catching up on laundry and such, spending some quiet time doing crafty things, and finishing the garb for 12th Night. I'm also going to work on a couple of small projects for the A&S at 12th night, and maybe even reorganize and clean out the sewing/SCA closet, now that the regalia is out of there! :)
