day one done

Quick update, before I collapse....oh, wait...I can't do that, I have WAAAAYY too much to do tonight...sigh....

Started at the new job today...so far, so good, although today was an exercise in total chaos. I have a nifty-cool office, with a lot of room and a big set of filing cabinets and a nice desk....two, yes TWO computers and monitors taking up most of the desk space, TWO sets of voicemail to learn and check, TWO sets of email to check....sigh. Not really complaining, just an embarrassment of riches in the 'how-to-contact-me' department.

The walls of my office are bare, which means I need a plant and some pictures/posters on the walls. The staff seems friendly and my regional manager (i.e. my boss) seems efficient, funny, and easy-going. The facility staff all were welcoming.

I am exhausted. I was up from 1:00 am to 3:00 am because I had my brain on overload, and because Travis' work called him like three times and I woke all the way up. I have a zillion things to do tonight, including go to two hours of cookie sale training for Girl Scouts. Yow. Travis will be home soon, and he will stay with Kira while I go to this meeting/training, and then I will come home, and he will go back to work late tonight. Again.

Anyway, more later. I have to go put clothes in the dryer, make lunches, and get my box of office stuff together for putting in the car tonight so I have things of my own in the office.

I need a wall calendar.
