Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005 - 10:05 p.m. knit night
Another fun night hanging out with the Knit Night group. We discussed a name for our group, which I think 'T&K' was what was generally tossed around. Jane was knitting her aliens some more, and various other folks were working on scarves and hats and such. Now if only it would get COLD so we could wear these things! I actually brought my drop spindles and helped a beginner learn some of the basics of spindle spinning. It went well, and I think she really got the hang of it! Go Donna! My new car is awesome. I just love driving it! It's big, and comfy, and roomy....and the keyless entry thing is really cool, and the stereo/CD player just rocks! I'm happy with it. Work goes along fairly well. I had a short stretch of time when I was re-doing some Medicare paperwork (which involved counting dates and doing math)where I thought I was going to cry, but I got past it, and the day actually ran pretty smoothly. We really *really* need help in the speech pathology department, though. I have one therapist with a caseload of four and four or five evals pending. Yikes! Any speech pathologists reading this in the Richmond area who would like to pick up some PRN work? I also thought that today was Wednesday, or that my Wednesday meetings were on Tuesday, and I was really confused first thing in the morning, trying to get some stuff set up before running to these meetings that I didn't actually have today. All in all, I like the job. I hope I can still say that three or four months from now, when all the work we do *really* counts and I'm not in the 'honeymoon' period of being the new department head of a new-to-my-company building. I really need to go to bed. I bought the new copy of Threads magazine and I want to go lay in bed and read it. More tomorrow.
