crappy day
I am supremely glad that today is done. I am even happier that I am currently at home, relatively comfortable, and my daughter is happily playing upstairs in her room. Also, my husband, who brought me roses to assuage the magnitude of today's suckage, has gone out to hunter-gather some Chinese food from Lakeside Chinese (the best of all Chinese take-outs) and will soon be home.
I have an evening of NOTHING planned.
I have not eaten since one bowl of instant grits at 7 this morning, and the diet Coke I cracked into at noonish does not constitute 'eating'.
It's been one fire after another, all day long, starting before I was even in the building. I am completely out of reserves of strength to deal with things and people right now, so once I recover from the day, I'll be human enough to deal with folks again.
You know it's bad when you AND your boss are starting to consider drinking until you go blind as a good idea for the evening.
I probably won't go *that* far, but a little oblivion sure would be nice right about now. Actually, some dinner would be good, too.
This weekend, I have planned to catch up on the laundry situation, help Kira sell some Girl Scout cookies, play in the glass some, and relax as much as humanly possible.
Here I go....off to relax and vegetate....
