it's cookie time!

I’ve finally recovered from the KASF trip, and although I haven’t started on my new window project (or projects, depending on how you look at it), I have been organizing and dealing with another project.

Girl Scout Cookies!!!!!

Yes, folks, GS cookies will be here this afternoon. Thanks to my wonderful husband, he and one of my troop moms will be helping to load seventy cases of cookies into our various vehicles and bring them to the house. In fact, if you ordered cookies from Kira and you are going to Seige of the Black Tower on Saturday, prepare to receive your cookie order (and pay for it, too, please!). Having never done the whole cookie-sale thing before (heck, I’ve never been a Girl Scout leader before!), I have no idea how much our troop will receive in proceeds from the sale, really, but I am looking forward to helping the girls figure out what we can do with the funds. A trip to the Richmond Children’s Museum is definitely on the agenda, but there also is a camping trip that we may decide to use $ for.

I also did some year-end planning, and it seems we only have five troop meetings left, after Thursday. Yikes! That means the end of the school year is coming! My baby will be going to second grade!

Wow.

Anyway, I should go do the billing corrections and find out what useless meetings I have to attend this morning. Sigh.
