Friday, Mar. 25, 2005 - 9:33 p.m. is it spring yet?
Aaaahhh....Friday! Just got back in from yummy late dinner at California Pizza Kitchen in Short Pump. We stopped on the way back from taking Kira to Madison, since we couldn't decide on what to eat, and I was pretty much not in the mood for anything found in our area. I had a yummy pear and gorgonzola pizza, and Travis has one covered in all kinds of mushrooms -- cremini, portobello -- all kinds. It really was fantastic. So much for our joint trip to the gym this evening. Tomorrow, tomorrow will be the gym run, in the morning, before we have time to get caught up in anything else. Then maybe a cup of coffee at STarbuck's, and then I have some shopping plans. I'm going to have to do a lot of work at the gym in order to counteract the evils of this week. Too much chocolate! I couldn't stop myself for some reason this week. Sigh. I really want to finish the Virgin glass panel and I want to get some new yarn, and possibly some good chevre, so Carytown is on my agenda. Work was good today, although I was a bit bored and having trouble focusing on actual work. Kira did an awesome job this month with behavior and stuff at school, so I had an extra treat of a Fairytopia toy when she got home from school. I love that kid; she's so amazing! SHe is writing and illustrating a book -- "Princess Kira" -- and the pictures she draws are amazingly detailed and authentic for her six year old fine motor skills. Maye *she* is the one who needs classes at the Hand Workshop, Betty, not me! :) I'm coveting strappy sandals and linen shorts now, on the models in my J. Jill catalog. I really want some warmer, beautiful weather. I'm about done with the doom and gloom and bone-chilling dampness. Bring me linen shorts and a tank top! And weather that is warm enough to wear them outside in! I probably should go put on my jammies and read, or peruse my knitting patterns. I think I'll shop online first, for sneakers for the Kira-munchkin, and maybe some khakis for myself....then make a shopping list for tomorrow. YAWN.
