fight practice

I took Kira and went to fight practice tonight for the first time in...oh...I don't really know how long. I decided not to go to knitting group, and instead opted for some heavy fun.

No, I didn't get in armour.

Still, the practice was sparse, only Hamish, Domenico, Gustav, and then Gunter showed up and fought some. Laz came by, but had to go back to work, and Erindahl was there, but he left without getting in armour.

Travis hung out, helped Gunter some, and talked with Sir TJ, while Bozjena and I stood watch over Kira and eyeballed to action.

I miss fighting. I'll be back, though. Just not yet. I have too much else going on right now to devote the energy to it, and, at over-30, it's not exactly a sport you can do sporadically and still have fun and stay uninjured. Plus, the going-to-the-gym thing is really good for me, and will make it a bit easier to get back into gear when I get to that point.

Travis swung a sword for a bit, helping Gunter, but he did not actually fight. He misses it too, but right now he's working on strengthening so that when he comes back, he can do it full-on.

In other news.....

I am working on knitting that new poncho, and wishing it would go faster. I really want to get on to the yellow and orange striped socks!

I guess that's it. No other news. Except to say that i am running A&S for Sapphire Joust in May, and I'm looking forward to people's entries....so get working!
