Mike, if there is anything that I can do to help you or your family, all you need do is ask.

It’s funny, how that is always the thing people say when someone is in need of help or has a crisis enter their life. Really, what else can you say or do, as an outsider? Mike and his family are in NoVA, and my family is here in Richmond. I’m sure that he has plenty of support up there, but still, I want to help, if I can.

So, Tuesday….tomorrow I am off, and I am looking forward to it. Kira and I have plans already, for some hiking in the morning, movie in the afternoon, and ice skating later in the day. The weather should be fabulous, short-sleeves at least, and we can sleep in a little. Yay!

For today, nothing special. I’m proud of the fact that I went to the gym last night, even though I didn’t feel like it, and afterward I had a whole Snickers with Almonds candy bar. I promised myself I wouldn’t eat it unless I did my time at the gym. I think Travis is doing his gym time this afternoon, and then going to fight practice. I see some knitting on the new poncho in my future….I think I finally nailed down that pattern well enough that I have been able to knit about 2 inches without making mistakes. It’s really going to be nice….dark green, soft, warm, and with a nifty almost-lacy pattern. Can’t wait to finish it!

All right….time for my morning can of V8 juice and then to a meeting.

I guess that’s about it for today….boring, I know. Life goes on.
